What Are the Benefits of CE, CUL, and NSF Certifications for Your Product?

CE Certification – Essential for Entering the European Market

Whether produced internally or imported from other countries, electrical products must have CE certification to circulate in the European market. The CE mark is a mandatory certification in the EU, required by European law for products. Consumers in the region are accustomed to choosing products with CE certification.

Sealing machines with CE certification, in addition to standard safety doors and guards, will also have an emergency stop button. Additionally, the CE certification label can be found on the exterior of both the sealing machines and syrup machines.

CUL Certification – Common Certification for the United States and Canada

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is the most authoritative private organization for safety testing and certification in the United States. The CUL mark is used for products circulating in the Canadian market and indicates that the product meets Canada's safety standards, which are largely the same as those referenced by UL. Thus, CUL certification is equivalent to compliance with both U.S. and Canadian standards.

CUL certification is not mandatory, but many insurance companies require products to have UL certification for coverage.

Phoenixes' small sealing machines with CUL certification use stainless steel gears for film collection, and the CUL certification label can be found on the exterior of both the sealing machines and syrup machines.

UL EPH Certification – Equivalent to NSF Certification Internationally

UL EPH certification is for products evaluated under "Environmental and Public Health Standards," and the EPH mark is awarded to those meeting these criteria. Products that pass this certification standard are equivalent to ANSI/NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) standards internationally, and also meet other food equipment hygiene requirements.

Sealing machines that meet UL EPH standards, like CUL certified machines, use stainless steel gears for film collection. The external screws have been changed from cross-head screws to white iron hexagonal screws to reduce the possibility of dirt accumulation. Syrup machines feature full stainless steel exteriors, and the assembly screws are also changed to white iron hexagonal screws, with a smoother handle style for the lids. The UL EPH certification label can be found on the exterior of both the sealing machines and syrup machines.
